BOX Review

BOX Review

Box is one of the easiest ways to manage large amounts of documents in a short amount of time. There are several different options for you to choose from both for personal and business use, which is a convenient and easy way to find the best way possible to find one that will fit your needs perfectly.

Features:

Between the automatic data selection and the mobile access, Box has all of the greatest features necessary to run your business successfully. The security they use includes encryption and redundancy, and the online workspace is extremely easy to use.

Summary:

Box has compiled a list of the best features and has incorporated them into their various package options so that you will have everything you need in one easy place. The workspace that they have chosen is very easy to use, and the pricing is quite affordable, especially considering what options you are getting.

Product Ideology:

Box provides a safe and secure way to backup all of your data online. They make it very easy to share and store even the largest of files, making it no longer necessary to send them to a compressed file or break up the items into multiple emails so that they can be sent. Files can be organized in whatever fashion you like, or whatever makes sense to you.

Security:

Box uses standard encryption software as well as redundancy. Your files are encrypted when they are first transferred to the online backup, as well as anytime they are opened and modified. In addition to this, you also have the ability to limit access to certain files and folders to different users. Creating individual accounts is fast and easy and can be done in just minutes.

Storage Space:

Box currently offers three different basic plans. One is an individual plan and the other two were created to help businesses. The lower of the two business options is just $15 a month per user on the account, which can be an incredibly affordable choice for companies that have just a handful of users and don’t need all of the bells and whistles that

Ease Of Use:

Box is very easy to use. Once you download the software and begin the setup it will automatically choose all of the files and documents that are accessed most frequently to backup. If there are additional files you want to add, or anything you want to remove, just click the box next to the file. With the one business account you can even get a free two week trial so you can test drive the service before you sign up for it.

Customer Support:

The support section for box is quite impressive. They have taken a lot of time to make sure that all of the frequently asked questions are answered on this page, but you can submit any questions or concerns with an online form if you don’t find what you are looking for and they will look into it.

Great Features

Box.net is my favorite cloud storage , It's easy to use, it 's give you 50 GB (Sony Ericsson Android phone offer :)), besides the apps are very cool and it's really different from other Cloud Storage like stupid google drive :)

The worst online storage

I've been using this system for around a year and for me it has killer flaws: it's unreliable and not predictable. I'm using it in a multi-user environment where new files on my PC get overwritten with older versions from other PCs. Synch appears a lottery: sometimes files upload from one PC and populate to other PCs sometimes not. Even creating folders directly can't always be seen elsewhere. I've had instances where key files disappear then reappear days later. The worst instance in the last 2 weeks was it decided that there was a problem with the synch and 78 files and 81 folders were moved to a "synch issues” folder and were no longer on Box site or other PCs. Worse still is that many of the files were flat out deleted from all locations. Luckily I learned not to keep my only copy in the "My Box" folder and only manually upload to the box storage so that colleagues can share files. (This obviously completely negates the purpose. I have to use it because it's on a client's system. I don’t have time to submit complex reports to support As it is I’ve wasted days recovering. The web interface is an unhelpful hierarchy. I truly hate this product. I never have these problems with other products

BOX

BOX has a huge array of features. Maybe this is also a bad thing though, since sometimes they seem to conflict and don't function properly meaning I usually have to restart PC. It isn't all the time but I'd prefer it if they sorted the problem and would update their system more. Apart from that, they are sound and offer good encryption for peace of mind clouding

Not ready for prime time

In trial mode right now...but not too impressed...not intuitive...and less feature-rich than suggested. Wife's laptop crashed. I had her files uploaded but when it came to restore time...it was ONE file at a time...cannot download a folder...unless you UPGRADE$$$$. Not much better with MyPCBackup.com. I used to own an Edible Arrangements franchise...so you want those strawberries dipped in chocolate? $$$ A balloon too...Yes$$$$ I don't mind paying $120/year...but I want to be able to use any one of our multiple household computers...and not play games like one file at a time carp.

Works well for me

For what i do it is okay. I am a non-business user who stores data such as ebooks on box. It works well and has never given me any problems.

OK...but not recommended

Kind of average in every aspect. If you're looking for your basics and aren't an enthusiast of backup then look no fuirther. However, if you're looking for some pizazz and magic then this probably isn't for you. I changed to My PC Backup recently and am very pleased. I guess that's why you're supposed to do some research before committing...!

Problems from the start

Others may disagree, but I had problems very early on with things from as simple as logging in and uploading to the server. Lets just say I had to move on to better things. The tech support guys don't seem to exist either!

Nearly good, not yet

I checked out this site after i saw the TC Cribs episode. I really like the look of the company form the video and am excited by all things cloud. Albeit the magic from the ceo was crappy.

The product was okay i suppose, the 5GB free is cool but who really wants to sit their manually uploading 5gb of files. Whatever happened to automation?

The price is high for a product that isn't overly flexible. i think they were good a few years ago and are surviving at the top by reputation.

The offerings from sugarsync, zipcloud or justcloud seem more comprehensive as a cloud solution.
